How it works

  • For anything ProTool covers, we'll send replacement parts or a replacement component, at our choice and at no charge. Bring your rig to our ProTool shop in Santa Ana, CA, and we'll take care of the labor too.
  • Call us first, even for parts made by others. We'll help diagnose the problem and point you to the fastest fix: a simple repair at our Santa Ana, CA shop, parts we source for you, or the maker's authorized service center. Parts we source for other makers' equipment are billed to you and carry that maker's warranty, not ProTool's. Some makers require their own service centers for warranty work, so check before having anyone else repair their component.
  • Workmanship defects are corrected by ProTool at our Santa Ana, CA shop, or we supply the parts.
  • We pay freight on ProTool parts we send under warranty. Shipping for claims with other makers, such as BE, is paid by the customer.
  • Gas engines, engine-driven pumps and burners, and other items marked "Maker's warranty" are claimed directly with their makers. Every build ships with the paperwork for its components and trailer. Some makers, including BE, require you to register; an unregistered product may lose that maker's coverage.
  • Reels are repaired first. If the reel needs replacing, we replace it once.
  • Trailers are claimed with the trailer maker using the VIN. If we install into your trailer or vehicle, only our work and the equipment we supplied are covered.

Not covered

  • Wear items, including but not limited to: nozzles, lances, seals, O-rings, pump unloader and check valve kits, belts, brushes; hoses, guns and high-pressure ball valves after 60 days
  • Filters, membranes and DI resin consumed through normal use. Carbon and DI filters typically last a few months; RO membranes last years with proper maintenance.
  • Freezing, outdoor storage, neglect, or chemicals left in the system
  • Incompatible chemicals or running pumps dry
  • Improper securing: a skid or system not bolted down as directed, or left free to shift or rattle
  • Collision, road damage or overloading, and metal fatigue caused by them
  • Corrosion, including corrosion between dissimilar metals, paint and cosmetic wear
  • Repairs or changes by others without our approval
  • Travel or towing

  • Membranes compacted or fouled from lack of flushing
  • Freezing, outdoor storage, neglect, or chemicals left in the system
  • Incompatible chemicals or running pumps dry
  • Improper mounting or securing, drops and impacts

  • Repairs or changes by others without our approval
  • Use outside the product's intended purpose

Solar brushes

  • Drops, impacts, poor storage or lack of maintenance are not covered.
  • Follow our Solar Brush Maintenance guide to keep the brush clean, wet and free of grit. A brush run dry, pressed too hard, or carrying sand or debris can scratch a panel.
  • ProTool is not responsible for scratches, swirl marks or any other damage to solar panels, glass, coatings or other surfaces from using the brush, even when it is used and maintained correctly. Some panels have soft coatings that can show light swirl marks under any brush, so test on a small, out-of-view area first. ProTool is also not responsible for any loss that follows, including but not limited to reduced output, panel repair or replacement, or voided panel warranties.

Terms & Limitations

These apply to both warranties above.

Warranty terms

  • Coverage is for the original purchaser, from the date of delivery, on equipment purchased on or after January 26, 2026. Equipment purchased earlier keeps the warranty terms it was sold under.
  • This warranty is not transferable. Used, demo or resold equipment is not covered unless ProTool sold it as such.
  • The warranty terms in effect on your purchase date apply to your equipment.
  • A part replaced under warranty is covered for the remainder of the original term, not a new one.
  • ProTool determines whether a failure is a covered defect. We may ask you to return the failed part for inspection; we pay return shipping on ProTool-covered items.
  • Report problems within 30 days of when they appear. Continued use after a failure that causes further damage is not covered.
  • Coverage applies to equipment delivered in the contiguous 48 United States. For equipment in Alaska, Hawaii or outside the U.S., warranty parts are supplied, but shipping is at the customer's cost.
  • New, unused items can be returned under our standard return policy, which is separate from this warranty.

Limitations

  • Our only obligation under this warranty is to repair or replace the covered part, at our discretion.
  • ProTool is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to downtime, lost revenue or profit, missed jobs or contracts, rental equipment, or damage to other equipment or property.
  • Any implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the terms of this written warranty to the extent the law allows.
  • Some states do not allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.

Warranty FAQ

What does the ProTool warranty cover?

The ProTool warranty covers what ProTool builds: frames and structure, ProTool hose reels, ProTool electrical work, plumbing and mounting, electric pumps and motors, metering systems and HydroPanel systems. Parts made by others, such as gas engines and engine-driven pumps, carry their makers' warranties.

How long is the frame warranty on a ProTool skid or trailer build?

ProTool skid and trailer frames carry a lifetime warranty for as long as the original purchaser owns them. That covers the aluminum and stainless structure, welds, brackets, mounts and racks.

Are the engines and pressure washer pumps on ProTool builds covered?

Gas engines and engine-driven pumps and burners on ProTool builds are covered by their makers. For example, BE pumps and burners carry 3 years from BE and Comet soft wash pumps carry 1 year. Electric pumps and motors are covered by ProTool for 1 year.

Is labor included in the ProTool warranty?

ProTool sends replacement parts or a replacement component at no charge. If you bring your rig to the ProTool shop in Santa Ana, CA, ProTool takes care of the labor too.

Do I have to bring my rig to the ProTool shop in Santa Ana?

No. For anything ProTool covers, ProTool ships the parts to you and pays the freight, so you can have the work done wherever is convenient.

How do I make a ProTool warranty claim?

Email [email protected] with your order number, a description of the problem, and photos or video. Don't take the equipment apart or send it elsewhere for ProTool warranty work without ProTool's approval.

Do I need to register my ProTool equipment?

Some makers of components on ProTool builds, including BE, require you to register their product. Every ProTool build ships with the paperwork; an unregistered product may lose that maker's coverage.

Is the trailer covered by the ProTool warranty?

The trailer chassis on a ProTool trailer build, including tires, axles, brakes and lights, is covered by the trailer maker's warranty. Claims go to the trailer maker using the VIN.

Are hoses, guns and ball valves covered by the ProTool warranty?

Yes, for 60 days from delivery against defects. After that ProTool treats them as wear items.

What is not covered by the ProTool warranty?

The ProTool warranty does not cover wear items, freeze damage, chemicals left in the system, running pumps dry, improper securing, collision or road damage, corrosion and cosmetic wear, or repairs and changes by others without ProTool's approval. Downtime and lost revenue are not covered.

Is the ProTool warranty transferable?

No. The ProTool warranty applies to the original purchaser only.

Does ProTool cover scratches on solar panels from the DualForce 25?

No. ProTool is not responsible for scratches, swirl marks or other damage to panels or coatings from using the DualForce 25, even when it is used correctly. Test on a small, out-of-view area first.

Does the ProTool warranty apply outside the lower 48 states?

ProTool warranty coverage applies to equipment delivered in the contiguous 48 states. In Alaska, Hawaii or outside the U.S., ProTool supplies warranty parts and you pay the shipping.
